This Trees4Future project meeting provides an excellent opportunity for active participation in the discussions amongst a broad spectrum of stakeholders on European research needs in contributing to green bio-economy, and especially the important role of genetics and genomics. These are issues of strategic importance for the European forest-based sector, and the outcomes (research and policy recommendations) of the meeting will help to steer the Trees4Future activities to allow the project to better meet the needs of different stakeholders. Meeting registration is free and open to all interested stakeholders.
The planned event takes place in connection with the 20th Annual Conference of the European Forest Institute titled “EFI 20 Years Science and Policy Forum: Our forests in the 21st century – ready for risks and opportunities?”
The research leading to these results has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement n° 284181 (Trees4Future project).
