AHIA Update: Marrying One Health with Ecohealth
Today, we're checking in with the second-ever AHIA project:
"Marrying One Health with EcoHealth: Inclusive Nature-Based Solutions and Action Research Directions."
This project, led by Timo Assmuth of SYKE, founded collaborative networks between ecologists, veterinarians, human health specialists, and social scientists. With numerous papers, workshops, project collaborations, interactions with policy and practice, and an excerpt featured in Nature, it's already yielding a major impact.
Outputs include the following papers:
➢ "Integrative Concepts and Practices of Health in Trans-disciplinary Social Ecology", (Ecological Practice Research)
➢ "The science, policy & practice of Nature-Based Solutions: An interdisciplinary perspective", (Sci of the Total Environment)
A special thanks is extended to the ALTER-Net partner researchers at SYKE, JHI, NINA, and INBO for contributing to this AHIA-funded project. We look forward to sharing more news from the Marrying One Health/EcoHealth team in the near future.
