ALTER-Net prepares for the future
Trondheim, 20 November 2013 -- With its 10th anniversary approaching, ALTER-Net is looking to its future. To prepare for a key Council meeting next January, the ALTER-Net Management Board met earlier this week at NINA's new energy-neutral building in Trondheim, Norway. The group prepared information papers covering issues such as future governance of the network, science-policy interaction, research agenda, membership, funding and communication.
This was the last Management Board meeting chaired by Dr Leon Braat from Alterra (The Netherlands); a new chair will be elected in January. All the Management Board thanked Leon for his efforts over the last few years, and wished him well for the future.
The ALTER-Net Council, comprising representatives from each partner organisation, will meet in Aix de Provence, France, on 28-29 January 2014.
