eLTER/ILTER Survey on DEIMS-SDR Metadata Fields

Improvements are currently being pursued for DEIMS-SDR. One aspect of this is to improve the targeting of the information collected to better fit the needs of ALTER-Net. For this purpose, a short questionnaire has been prepared to collect recommendations and improve the DEIMS-SDR metadata models.

Metadata on different levels are important to enable not only the discovery but also the reuse of resources. DEIMS-SDR (Dynamic Ecological Information Management System - Site and dataset registry) contributes to this task. The adaptation to user needs as well as to changing requirements for information collection is an important aspect in the life cycle of DEIMS-SDR. With the migration of DEIMS-SDR to a new system architecture the underlying data models are evaluated. This survey is an important step in this workflow by collecting user expectations and feedback on the information and data collected. The results will be fed into the discussion process on the data model for research sites, data products, datasets and sensors.

We Want Your Input!

Please fill in the online survey. It will take approximately 20 minutes to complete the questionnaire. The survey (first round) will be open until the end of August. If needed, it can be kept open later upon request.

For the survey no personal information (e.g. IP address) will be stored. For statistical purposes some questions about your background are asked but provision of this additional information is voluntary.
