Group work at the Summer School

Earlier this year, Monika Suškevičs of the Estonian University of Life Sciences was awarded an ALTER-Net Mobility Scheme grant to attend the 2014 ALTER-Net Summer School. Monika said of the school, "[it] provided me a great opportunity for generating and exchanging ideas" . I went to the Summer School with many questions in my head, but came back with even more... but also with a lot of new friends!

As a requirement of her Mobility grant, Monika had to write a short report about her trip. You can read Monika's report here.

The ALTER-Net Mobility Scheme has been running almost since the start of ALTER-Net. Small grants are available to staff and post-graduate students of ALTER-Net member institutes to facilitate staff exchanges and other approved travel. It is one mechanism by which we can encourage integration and collaboration amongst our members.

ALTER-Net has been running an annual Summer School in Peyresq, France since 2006. This unique learning environment, with its mix of lectures, workshops, field excursions, project work and social events, enables students to learn about current issues in biodiversity and ecosystem services from experts in their field.

Details of our next Summer School will be posted on this website in due course, and announced widely via our communication channels.
