The ALTER-Net consortium welcomes the Institute for Environmental Studies, VU University Amsterdam (VU-IVM) as a new partner of ALTER-Net.  ALTER-Net now consists of 26 partner institutes.VU-IVM was created in 1971 as an interdisciplinary institute and has built up considerable experience and expertise in dealing with complex environmental problems. The institute consists of about 110 staff members divided over 4 departments: Environmental Policy Analysis, Environmental Economics, Spatial Analysis and Chemistry and Biology. Researchers at VU-IVM are experienced in interdisciplinary policy relevant research, addressing challenging environmental problems and offering pragmatic, innovative solutions. ALTER-Net is absolutely convinced that VU-IVM will be a valuable partner helping ALTER-Net with reaching its goals.
